How this information and referral service works

An independent publisher, not a contractor. Here is exactly what an inquiry does and does not set in motion.

What this site is

This site publishes independent information about commercial sidewalk trip-hazard assessment and repair for property managers in Plano, Allen, McKinney and Frisco. It is operated by the publisher named on the about page. It does not employ repair crews, does not perform work, and does not hold a contractor's license. It is an independent information service, and once a repair provider has been verified it can refer inquiries to that provider with your permission.

How inquiries are handled today

The notice near every inquiry form states which of the site's four operating modes applies today. Describe your project on the contact page; once accepted, the inquiry is stored and a notification to the operator is queued. The operator's commitment is to review each accepted inquiry and reply with the next step. Sending the form is not a booking. A provider introduction happens only with your permission, once that provider has been verified.

What happens after an inquiry

  1. Once accepted, your inquiry is stored and a notification to the operator is queued. You see a confirmation page with no details from your submission on it.
  2. The operator reads it and classifies it: relevant to the four cities and the service scope, outside scope, or a question that can be answered directly.
  3. If it can be answered with information, the operator replies using the contact method you chose.
  4. If a verified provider exists and your inquiry is a fit, the operator asks you before sharing anything with that provider. No details are passed on without that permission.
  5. Any next step, including a site visit or a quote, is arranged between you and the provider. The provider is responsible for its own work, pricing and terms.

A response timeframe is shown on the contact page only once the operator has committed to one.

No booking until confirmed

Sending the form does not book an assessment, reserve a date, or create a contract with anyone. If you receive no reply, nothing has been scheduled. If you need work urgently, treat this site as one source of information and contact contractors directly as well.

Provider selection and disclosure

Before a provider is introduced through this site, the operator verifies the business identity, the services it actually offers, the cities it actually covers, and the claims it is willing to stand behind. When you are referred, the provider is named to you, along with its role. The site does not present a provider's crews as its own and does not make guarantees on a provider's behalf.

No guaranteed price

The site does not quote prices, and nothing here should be read as an estimate. The cost factors guide explains what moves a quote. Any price comes from a provider, in writing, after they have seen the property.

Data sharing permission

Your inquiry is used to respond to you and to understand what people in these cities are asking about. Inquiries are received by the operator only. If a verified provider is later introduced and your inquiry is relevant, you will be asked first, and the permission and the recipient are recorded. Older inquiries are never passed to a new provider without a fresh request. The privacy notice has the details, including how long inquiries are kept and how to ask for deletion.

The pilot and the later model

This is a pilot. The first phase is publishing useful information and learning what property managers in these cities need. A referral relationship is added for a city only where there is real, recurring demand and a provider who meets the verification above. When the site moves to an active referral model for a city, this page, the contact form and the terms change together and say so.

Complaints and corrections

If something on this site is wrong, or if you believe an inquiry was mishandled, contact the operator through the route on the about page. Factual corrections are made on the page concerned and the modification date is updated.
